Say you have a Pokemon that's level 50 and has a strong type advantage over the Pokemon it will be battling against. These Pokemon are all at least ten levels stronger than your Pokemon, however.
Would you take a chance on the typing pulling it through, or go with something else?
Yours is Steel, Ice is the opposition. They are all dual-type- two Water/Ice and one Ground/Ice. The partial Ground type is also likely the strongest and has the potential to steamroller the Steel type if it happens to be sent out first.
So in other words, you're asking me if I think you should pick a fight with a guy who's stronger than you on all fronts and has a way to knock your secret weapon cold as soon as he realizes you've got it.
It's less of a question and more that I needed a second opinion. I'm going to challenge Pryce soon and I'm trying to decide what Pokemon to bring.
A Steel type would certainly not be the only thing I have with me, but the strongest Pokemon I have also have severe type-disadvantages as well as advantages. My Ninetales, for example, would be strong against all three but weak to the Water-types. Pokemon here can know a near unlimited amount of moves- there would be nothing stopping him from using water exclusively against me if I brought a Fire-type, or Ground if I brought Electric.

I don't think so. It wouldn't be worth it.
He'll wish I had after this is over, though.

I don't know. I don't hate him enough to kill him. He's like...a rival, I suppose.

Oh, no, I see where this is going. You found a fun new toy, didn't you.

In this world that's exactly what it is, a rival. Nothing more.
He doesn't exactly make himself easy to ignore, either.
